Dense, full-bodied and custardy on the palate, this Cabernet Sauvignon smells and tastes of ripe black currants, cassis and tobacco leaf. It is muscular and strapping on the palate with good acidic vigor. Strong, underlying iron and dried blood notes seep into the moderate and earthy finish. Well-defined, generous in fruit and showing some attractive bottle age, this is a good choice for a wine by the glass at a steakhouse.
