Zooming out of the glass with effusive aromas of roasted black plums and charcoal pit, this is a switchblade of a wine. The palate is dense with robust and immensely concentrated fruit that is still very drinkable. The tannins are granular and tightly knit, and they interlace seamlessly with the smooth acidity that waits to kick in on the back palate. Elegant and well-knit, this is pleasing now and has the ability to hold on nicely for a year or two though drinks well now.
