Smelling of blackberries, roasted herbs and charred, smoky wood, this is a serious wine in its aromatics. Full in body, with broad, grainy and tugging tannins, it is a dynamic wine in palate feel. Alas, it is only moderate in finish and rather strict in its firm acidic dimension. There is clear cool-climate character here and the wine seems to be well-positioned to age in bottle. Drink now–2024.
