Pretty aromas of cantaloupe, Canary melon and Poire Williams are complemented by candle wax and chamomile on the nose of this amiable wine. The lightly oily palate delivers heft without heaviness. A powerful mix of flavors show a somewhat earthy and green tone married with a gentle sweetness remenicent of celeriac. Offering a whirlwind of flavors, with a velvety palate, nice acidic tension and a pleasantly firm dryness, this should have solid appeal with the sommelier set and Riesling enthusiasts. The fast finish is basic, but the magnanimous nose and good concentration deliver a satisfying wine nonetheless. Drink now–2022.
