Boldly black in the glass, this wine has a come-hither nose of bruised plum, plump raisin and potpourri. Boisterous on the palate, this line backer of a wine is notably well-balanced the alcohol is in check, the tannins are rounded and the acidity is integrated. The ample fruit character makes it highly approachable, too. Moderate in finish with some smoky, minerally nuances, everything here is in its place. Drink now–2022.
