This exuberantly aromatic wine smells decidedly savory. Its diverse array of aromas start with a mineral tone then segues into dry-aged steak and finally into figs and blackberries. Though full-bodied, this is a youthful wine in need of refinement from further bottle aging. Currently, its texture is a bit tough and leathery with dry tannins and noticeable acidity. There’s very good concentration here, so there’s no need to hurry. Drink now–2021.
