This is a straw-colored wine. The nose is overt with spring flowers, green apple, striking chalk notes and a pronounced leesiness. The unrefined bubbles foam across the palate. The light body shows a rapier-like, aggressive acidity, which further emphasizes the cuvée’s dryness. The fleeting finish brings on mushroom and truffle notes. May benefit from 12–18 months in bottle in hopes the acidity will settle down.
