This wine has a fresh nose packed with forest berries. The palate adds additional nuances of dimension, starting with gunpowder and finishing with dried potting soil. It is also slightly savory, with a beef bouillon note. It is texturally demanding, with chewy, ropy tannins. Fortunately, the medium acidity remains subdued so as to not over accentuate the tannins. Given the rather straightforward character of the wine and speedy finish, this is an early drinker, best enjoyed before 2019.
