This wine has the color of high-season salmon. The nose is oxidative—but pleasantly so—with hints of drying strawberries and cherry cola. The palate, however, confirms this is on a downward slope, showing earthiness and dried morel mushrooms rather than fresh fruit characters. This is full bodied with mild acidic lift, and should be drunk now.
