Deeply flushed with dark black-cherry color, this wine has an open and broad nose. It smells toasty, with fresh-baked bread, blackberry cobbler and streaks of minerality. The dark black fruits are impressively pure and lean, sitting on the meager side of ripeness. The finish is medium in length, carried through by the lightly firm tannins and integrated but lifting acidity. Drink now through 2018.
