Yellow cake mix notes on the nose starts off this Chardonnay. The medium-bodied palate chimes in with juicy yellow plums, tinned peaches and fresh-cracked vanilla bean. There’s solid supporting acidity and a glossy textured finish, with lots of fresh-picked tree fruit. This drinks particularly well alone as an apéritif given its confected top notes. It will no doubt have many an ardent fan. Drink now through 2018.
