Dark mulberry at the core, with crimson streaks, this wine also shows some development in its aromas of dried earth, cinnamon stick, rose petal and morello cherry. The full-bodied palate provides bracing acidity alongside pleasantly sandy and somewhat sinewy tannins. The finish is solid, with a nicely pronounced savory side. This is a great wine for the table and is drinking well now. Still, there is no need to hurry as the wine will hold well through 2018, and possibly longer.
