Zarzuela 2011 Selección  Tempranillo (Ribera del Duero)

abv: 14% | Price Tier: $$

Onyx black in color, with a tiny magenta rim, this wine has a fresh nose of bramble, boysenberry, blueberry cobbler and a touch of mocha. The palate is full bodied in generous alcohol as well as plentiful extraction. This will please fans of modern-styled wines, boasting an excellent structure and judicious new-oak use. The vivacious acidity keeps the taster going back to the glass. Although this will be best paired with meat-based dishes, as there are both oak and fruit tannins, those who appreciate bold wine styles will be happy to sip this by the glass. Drink from 2016–2020.
