There is an enamel-staining, inky-black core with a vibrant fuscia meniscus. The overt, youthful, fragrant and pure nose is packed with fruits and minerals. Roasted fig, dried cherry and blackberry coulis drive the palate. Hefty in body and glycerol, with reasonable alcohol given its impressive stature, this wine is lifted by its marked acidity and lightly drying, fine-grained tannins. Drink now–2015, with potential to improve and may hold longer. A class act.
