This wine is opaque, with a strong black core and a slight mulberry rim. The nose is sultry and brooding with ripe black plum, Mission fig and creosote dominating. With time in the glass, Port-like spice aromas develop. Velvety tannins encase the voluptuous palate while moderate acidity offers adequate support. This is a good by-the-glass wine given its generously ripe fruit, full body and supple mouthfeel. Alone or with food, this is a highly utilitarian wine.
