On the nose, this yellow-colored wine seems tired—its fruit is fading and its leesy, yeasty notes are beginning to dominate. Nonetheless, hay, wax, walnuts, melon and pear all show through on the palate. The acidity is overly lenient, but the wine manages not to feel flaccid despite the mouth-coating viscosity thanks to the mild tannins. Definitely a wine for food, and definitely a wine to drink up now.
