Deeply colored with light rust inflections throughout. The nose shows a pleasant combination of the earthy-savory and the fresh-fruit sides of wine. Grilled meat, bouillon cubes, mulberry and black plum characterize the palate. Vanilla extract, allspice and tapioca add complexity and evidence some oak aging. The acidity is fresh, the tannins are rounded and the finish is medium in length. A crowd pleaser for all sorts of palates, good for sipping and for casual food.
