Pomegranate, cherry and orange zest carry over from the nose to the palate. There is an amaro-like brightness in the finish. Tannins are present, gritty and terse. The wine is in dire need of aeration as the tannins strangle the other aspects of the wine. Shelve for 10 years and try again.
