Initially reserved on the nose, this needs some coaxing out of the glass. In time, there are hints of leather, damp tree bark, old tea leaves, cranberry and pomegranate seed. The full body nicely frames its high alcohol with good acidic snap and layers of velvety tannins. Long and caressing on the finish, this wine has the concentration and complexity to benefit from more time in the bottle. Drink now–2026.
