This deeply colored, near-opaque wine smells like prune juice and Christmas spice. The dense and full-bodied palate definitely displays a sweet character: candied figs, spice cake, caramel and cola. Bold in a ripe black-fruit flavor, this dry red is decadent and laced with good fruit complexity and spicy oak character. Creamy tannins work hard balance to the full-throttle concentration and bold alcohol. This is one for the table. Drink now–2024.
