A wine with powerful feistiness, this full-bodied, richly fruited and generously spicy bottling is approachable, even in this very youthful stage. Licorice and graphite accent the succulent, underlying fruits boysenberry and black plum along with elderberry preserves. The rugged tannins nicely contrast with the buoyant, lifting acidity and both nicely frame the broad palate.
