Onyx at the core, this wine’s unusual nose smells of an old library, cedar embers, resin and black currants. The full-bodied palate is intense and dense, the flavors are deeply planted in the black fruit spectrum, verging into dried and baked fruits. A hints of clove lifts the muscular heft along with sculpted, mildly drying tannins and cleansing acidity. The finish of rich earth and graphite leaves a moreish parting note. This is one for lovers of bold wines. Drink now–2024.
