Bold aromas begin with musk, dark chocolate and toasted walnut. These tones follow onto the palate, which adds black plum and mulberry. The powerful weight is squared away by tight-grained tannins and vivacious acidity. The excellent balance of this concentrated beast combines with its layered complexity to provide a lingering finish. While pleasant today, this wine has a ways to go. Drink now–2025.
