Saturated, scarlet core with garnet meniscus. Restrained fruit on nose takes a back seat to aromas of fresh leather, fireplace ash and bay leaf. The highly structured palate showcases dusty, slightly coarse tannins and bright acidity. Those combine to produce a drying mouthfeel. With hearty meat dishes, this should show well. Short finish.
