Sultry and oaky on the nose, this opaque wine offers a distinct cracked pepper note on the nose. It’s packed with flavors of baking spices and shortbread, complemented by ripe, blueberry cobbler fruit. The palate offers some lushness in svelte, creamy tannins and well-integrated acidity. With air, this wine seems to be showing some developed notes, but there’s enough of everything needed here to allow it to hold and possibly improve. Drink now–2021.
