Smelling intense and minerally, this wine shows bright inflections on the nose but is almost opaque at its dark, near-black core. The well-placed acidity harmonizes with the rather soft, mellifluous tannins. Notes of black raisins and dried Mission figs on the back palate suggest a touch of overripeness, but the overall structure keeps the wine on form. Drink now–2022.
