Impressively fresh aromas of black plums and cassis are complemented by caramel and pancake syrup on the nose. The palate brings on potting soil and damp cigar. There’s good concentration, with bright support from lifted acidity. The slightly gangly tannins make their presence known on the lingering finish that shows a touch of balsamic. Drink now–2021.
