This is a fragrant wine that shows an array of enticing aromas, from cranberry compote and black cherry to rosebuds and Dr. Pepper. The palate is relatively fresh in fruit character. There’s a strong backbone of near-rambunctious acidity, with fresh fruit flavors and a layer of broad yet tight-knit tannins. Nicely balanced, with an expansive palate feel, this would shine brightest with red meat dishes. Drink now–2020.
