Deep, dark purple this is a fine visual example of Prieto Picudo. The nose offers aromas of black cherry, cassis and anise with touch of lavender. A fairly dense core of black fruits is accompanied by flavors of fresh strawberry, smoke and a dusting of black pepper. The finish falls a bit short, but an enjoyable wine overall that will age through 2020.
