Freshly poured, this wine sings of vivacious red fruits on the nose, especially tart lingonberries and Marasca cherries. Alas, the palate changes course brusquely—the fruit tastes baked, the flavors are simple and the wine falls short on the finish, with mild acidity and slightly crunchy tannins. It’s holding on, but it’s showing its age. Drink now.
