Bold in color and aroma, this youthful wine’s fruit tastes like its color—black. A small mulberry-colored rim surrounds the Kalamata olive-colored core, and the palate hones in on blackberries, blackcurrants and licorice. The full-bodied palate possesses soft, caressing tannins and integrated but lifting acidity. Plump in fruit but fairly simple in complexity, this drinks well now, but can hold on through 2018.
