This wine is medium-deep cranberry colored, with brick tones and a touch of murkiness. The nose smells of tart red cherries and briar. The palate follows through with the same notes and, while simple, is quite pleasantly aromatic and open. Fluid and finessed tannins combine with buoyant acidity to give this medium-weight wine additional lightness. It’s drinking well now, so there’s no need to hold this one.
