Dark crimson, verging on black at the core, this wine has a small, rusty rim. Its nose is reserved and seems a bit peaked. Its palate certainly is, showing fallen autumn leaves and baked earth. Some mulled cherry fruit is fighting to hang on, but this wine needs to be drunk up. The tannins are resolved, the acidity is lenient and the finish is moderate. Best by 2016.
