The first whiffs of açaí and boysenberry are accompanied by strong aromas of hung game, crushed granite and grilled bread. The palate delivers the same, wrapped up in dusty, lightly splintery tannins and bustling, slightly angular acidity. The finish is minerally, fruit-filled and solid in length. This tastes very youthful and could use some additional time in bottle to settle down. Judging by its structure and plentiful complexity, there’s no rush to open this. Drink now–2025.
