This sparkler is star-bright and pale straw-colored in appearance. It is lightly grapey on the nose, and it also smells of grapefruit pith and nectarines. The palate is pleasantly light, with perky acidity and flavors of beeswax and gooseberry. The very fine bubbles fade quickly in the glass, but there’s solid flavor that hangs on through the medium-length finish. Drink now through 2017.
