Brooding and developed on the nose, this wine smells of damp earth under autumn leaves, crushed schist and roasted black fruits. The longer it sits in the glass, the more its gutsy aromas unfold. Fully mature, the aromas and flavors taste just past their peak. It is still an interesting wine, but it lacks the vivacity of more youthful fruit and a more lively structure.
