Domaine Les Quatres Amours 2013 Louis
Syrah-Grenache (Languedoc)
This mysterious, opaque and black wine has a rather closed nose. Black raisins, cherry cough syrup and gun powder eek through. The palate is one dimensional, with anonymous ripe-black fruits and nuances of licorice and dried meat. There’s decent depth of flavor intrigue on the plate, but the finish is short and simple. Nonetheless, it is drinking well now and should be enjoyed in casual settings through 2017.
