This raven black wine is almost brazenly candied, showing black cherry cough drops, blackberry preserves and a hit of broiled Mission figs. Though its fruit is decadently ripe, there is surprisingly crisp and crackling acidity on the back palate. Its firm structure displays gangly, splintery and almost parching tannins. The highly mature flavors suggest this wine will age quickly. Enjoy now–2019 with chargrilled red meats.
