This wine has a bold, black cherry core and a powerfully youthful nose. Cola, vanilla bean and exotic spice abound. Almost gluttonous in its full body and succulently fruited midpalate, there are restrained yet smartly structuring tannins to keep the wine in balance. However, those tannins turn a touch angular on the lingering finish, so this wine works best with richer foods. Savory in blackberry and smashed plum, this wine will hold well but is hard to resist now enjoy through 2017.
