Kalamata olive in color at its core, with a bright magenta rim, this wine’s nose is full of ripe berries and plums. The attack is saturated in oak flavors of vanilla extract, baking spices and caramel. Full bodied, with lightly coarse tannins and moderate acidity, there’s just enough structural tension to keep it hemmed-in in its youth. The medium finish highlight’s the wine’s ample fruit character it just needs an extra touch of freshness. Nonetheless, it’s drinking just fine now though it likely won’t hang on for too much longer enjoy by 2018.
