Merlot (Mudgee)

Reticent on the nose, this shows some vague notes of forest berry and underbrush. Light in concentration on the palate, this is a breezy, elegant red. As it sits in the glass, it develops wave after wave of cherry and blueberry coulis generosity. The structure is nicely knitted together with fine, mild tannins and smartly integrated acidity. The finish is clipped and the wine is overall straightforward, but it is showing well now and should be enjoyed soon. Drink now–2024.
