Airen (Vino de la Tierra de Castilla)

This bright, clear wine with a water white rim smells of butter-sprayed popcorn and lentils. It tastes of sweet mirabelle plum, white grapefruit and ginger, with a touch of pleasantly bitter quinine. Medium in body, with solid concentration and a moderate finish, this drinks well now and can hold on for another year but there’s no need to wait, thanks in part to its lovely floral finish. This would pair with sweet shellfish.
