Star bright and pronounced gold in color, this opens with toasted hazelnut, marzipan and nougat on the nose. The fruit flavors come into clearer focus on the palate with nectarine pit and peel, Mandarin orange and papaya. Toasty notes nicely blend into the moderate-bodied, broadly textured midpalate. Good acidic lift pops on the back palate and overall is nicely integrated. There’s a whole-grain cereal note along with freshly sliced stone fruits on the solid, medium finish. Drink now–2024.
