Boldly black at the core and whole-heartedly fruit-driven, this wine shows aromas of waves of macerated black cherries and black plum preserves. With hints of vanilla, dark chocolate and toast that penetrate from start to finish. Its strongly mineral tone takes on an almost ashy quality in both flavor and texture as the wine crosses the palate into the pleasantly lingering finish. Youthful and with a solid structure, this nicely concentrated wine drinks well now, but has plenty of time to harmonize in the bottle. Drink now–2021.
