Onyx black at the core, this wine is impressively opaque. It tastes of crunchy black plums, blackcurrants and perfectly ripe blackberries. There’s no obvious new oak character, and the moderate finish seems simple for such a dynamic nose. However, the structure is spot-on, with lightly drying, fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidic lift. It’s classic Cabernet Sauvignon, and it would be an excellent by-the-glass option at a classy steakhouse. Drink now through 2020.
