Marquis de Greyssac 2011 l’Héritage du Marquis de Greyssac
Sauvignon (Bordeaux)
Fairly deep yellow color. Undeniably pretty aromatics of orange water, roses, dried hay and perfectly ripe apricot. Impressive purity. Vague viscosity with lazy yet supporting acidity and a resolute dryness on the finish. There is a pithiness from the fruit that lends a delightfully rugged texture on the palate. Drink now to 2015. Seems to have the depth of complexity to evolve well, but it’s not clear if the acidity is substantial enough to allow it to do so.
