Richly fruited and lashed with chocolate overtones, this wine is quite the minx. First, there is so much lush fruit that there is an immediacy to the wine. Second, the finish is rather fast, so there is little reason to deny the pleasure of enjoying its youthful lavishness. The punchy, in-your-face flavors include cherry liqueur, dark chocolate, fire-glazed marshmallow and blazing embers. The tannins are soft and cuddly and the acidity is even-keeled. Drink now–2024.
