Cabernet Sauvignon (Tasmania)

Showing a brick hue from the core to the rim, this wine’s nose is enticingly evolved. Smelling of spice rack, polished wood, evergreen and dried blackberries, the scented nose is delightfully layered. Alas, the palate is less enticing with its unusual array of Worcestershire sauce, menthol and dried black fruits. Plus, the palate structure is starting to unravel. The acidity is prickly and the medium-plus alcohol is noticeable. The tannins are, however, nicely resolved. Drink now.
