Château Rombeau 2014 Elise Vieilles Vignes
Red Blend (Côtes du Roussillon Villages)
|
Deep black in color with a dark cherry rim, this wine has a youthful nose crammed with black fruits and vanilla extract. The palate layers on milk chocolate, baking spices and blueberries. Nicely balanced by round tannins and bright acidity, the full body and generous alcohol create a toothsome drink. Engaging and crowd-pleasing for those who enjoy the oomph of some new oak impact, this would be great option in a nice restaurant now, but it might be best if aged another six to nine months before release. Drink 2017–2018.
