Château Cap de Fouste 2019 Emotions
Grenache Blanc (Côtes du Roussillon)
|
Pleasantly floral with fresh tree blooms, elegant and light fruit flavors of white peach and Key lime follow. The palate layers on caramel, toast and nougat. Generous in body with medium alcohol, the plentiful glycerol is nicely balanced by buoyant acidity. Youthful and layered, this could use some time to settle down in the bottle so that the fruit and oak are not quite so distinct from one another. Still, the only moderate finish suggests this is a mid-term wine, so don’t stash it too far out of reach. Drink now–2024.
